UX Designer · San Diego, CA · 2026

Turning complex technical data into clear, considered digital experiences.

I'm a UX Designer with four years designing for cloud security at Permiso, working end-to-end from research and information architecture to interactive prototyping. I turn intricate technical workflows into interfaces that feel calm, legible, and trustworthy.

03 · About

A designer with a healthcare-operations background and a soft spot for messy data.

Bio · 2026

Before design, I spent years inside electronic medical records, scheduling systems, and clinic operations.

That work taught me what happens when software fails the people who depend on it. Too many alerts. Hidden state. The wrong field three clicks away. I moved into UX to design the kind of tools I wished I had then.

From 2021 to early 2026, I was the founding UX member at Permiso Security, their first full-time UX hire at a cloud detection-and-response company. I led design across the product's most complex, data-dense workflows, overhauled the overview dashboard to simplify a dense UI, and brought the product up to color-accessibility compliance, giving technical data a shape someone could read quickly, trust, and act on. I also worked directly with the threat research team to design AI dashboards monitoring usage and behavior, and designed an AI-powered chatbot for the platform.

I also wore a second hat across brand and marketing. With the VP of Marketing I helped update the company website, created visuals for the permiso.io blog, and produced marketing collateral, one-pagers, event invites, and merch; with the threat research team I designed customer-facing threat reports and branded conference decks.

I founded Tiny Tulip Studio in 2024 and now run it full-time. Through the studio I take on both UX engagements (research, product design, design systems) and design commissions: websites, marketing collateral, and visual identity work for small teams.

I hold an MS in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University and a BS in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. I work primarily in Figma, run my own user research, and collaborate closely with engineering and customer success.

I'm currently open to full-time UX, product design, or design systems roles at any level, remote or San Diego based, while continuing to take on select freelance projects through Tiny Tulip Studio.
